Hollywood Casino Aurora Donates 700 Stuffed Animals to Children In Need

Hollywood Casino Aurora recently donated 735 stuffed animals to local charities that were given to children across the state.

Representatives from the Aurora Fire Department, Hesed House, Project Santa, Aurora Police Department and Mutual Ground picked up the stuffed animals for their various charitable programs: 

The Aurora Fire Department will send the stuffed animals to Toys for Tots.

Hesed House, the second largest homeless shelter in Illinois, will use the donation for their kids.

Project Santa will send tiny teddy bears and decks of cards to our military in Afghanistan for Christmas.

The Aurora Police Department will use the stuffed animals to comfort children during stressful police calls.

Mutual Ground, one of the largest and oldest domestic violence/sexual assault agencies in Illinois, will use the donation for their clients’ children.

Moose Charities, received animals and a check donation for their residential childcare facility for children and teens in-need.

The casino has become known for strong local charitable work, having donated in excess of $3.4 million since its opening in 1993. In addition to those listed above, some organizations in the City of Aurora that have benefited from Hollywood’s corporate citizenship include Quad Country Urban League, Rebuilding Together Aurora, Hesed House, Mutual Ground, Association for Individual Development, Aurora Hispanic Chamber of Commerce and the Fox Valley United Way.
