The Monuments Men: Saving Europe's Treasures

Art historian Jeff Mishur discusses how the military, museum
officials, and art professionals worked together to protect cultural treasures
during and after World War II. The
presentation includes slides of some of the most significant works of art that
were repatriated, as well as some artworks never found. This program is the
first of three art programs offered by the library in conjunction with
Batavia’s Art in Your Eye Fine Arts Festival, Sept. 20-21. The program is free;
