NAMI DKK monthly coffee at InStep Behavior Health

    



National Alliance
on Mental Illness is sponsoring its monthly coffee on October 26, 2013 from
9:00-11:00am. This free event will be hosted by InStep
Behavior Health, 2631 Williamsburg
Ave., Suite 302, Geneva, IL 60134.

The coffee this month is a hands-on community forum on holistic
treatment beyond labels to promote mental wellness. Dr. Rao, MD will speak
about a biopsychosocial approach to diagnosis and treatment. Dr. Rohrbacher, MD
will talk about decision making on selecting medications. Discussion of
treatment modalities and therapy (including spirituality and self-care) will be
led by Nive Christodoss, LCPC. Nutrition information will be presented by Lorna
Mackaben, PMHNP.

NAMI-DKK (National Alliance on Mental Illness-DeKalb, Kane-South
& Kendall Counties) is an affiliate of the national grassroots organization
(NAMI) consisting of family members and persons living with mental illness. It
is dedicated to improving the lives of people with mental illness and their
families.



The public is welcome to attend our FREE monthly coffees. We
hope to see you on Saturday October 26 for light refreshments and to learn what
NAMI DKK offers in mental health education, advocacy, and support of families
