Local author and TV-writer Kevin Jakubowski at the Batavia Public Library

This
December Kevin Jakubowski, a Batavia native and writer on the hit Comedy Central Show
"Brickleberry," is bring back the Nintendo Entertainment System for
Christmas and making it cooler than ever.

He will be speaking and signing at the Batavia Public Library Dec. 19th starting at 7:00 p.m.

His debut novel 8-Bit Christmas,
which takes place in Batavia, tells the story of
one kid's epic quest of Super Mario Bros. proportions to secure a NES
for Christmas. Amidst flaming
wreaths, speeding minivans, lost retainers, fake Santas, hot teachers,
snotty sisters, “Super Bowl Shuffles” and one very naked Cabbage Patch
Kid, Kevin's book vividly weaves a nostalgic tale of Christmas magic and 8-bit glory.

Kevin's debut novel is poignant and witty, providing A Christmas Story for a whole new generation. "South Park” producer Ryan Quincy calls Jakubowski’s book a “charming, rollicking tale.”
