Literacy Volunteers Fox Valley hosts tutor training

Literacy Volunteers Fox Valley needs volunteers to help teach English to area adults who are waiting to learn.

A four-session tutor training workshop will be offered Tuesdays and Thursdays, February 11, 13, 18, and 20 from 6:30pm to 9:00pm at the St. Charles Public Library.

Volunteers do not need to know a second language or have a teaching background to be effective. Students say that the best tutors have patience and give practical information. Volunteer tutors teach for one hour each week at a time and public location that is convenient.
