Guest Recital: Stella Roden, soprano

Stella Dayrit Roden is recognized as a vocal artist of classical and
contemporary music. She has performed as a featured soloist with the
Hartford Symphony Orchestra, New Britain Symphony, The Connecticut
Virtuosi and numerous chorales. Since joining the University of Central
Missouri faculty in 2005, she has served as soprano soloist with each of
UCM's premier large ensembles, and regionally as a guest artist with
the Sedalia Symphony and Marshall Philharmonic. As Resident Artist with
the Wichita Grand Opera, she performed the role of 'Cousin' in Puccini's
Madama Butterfly and served as a member of the opera chorus for the
2011 season. In the summers of 2012 and 2013, Roden gave guest voice
recitals in Florence, Italy with collaborative pianist Cristiano
Manzoni. This coming October, Roden performs Barber’s Knoxville: Summer
of 1915 on the UCM campus.
