Suicide Prevention Services has been in the community since May 29, 1998. Our sole mission: TO PREVENT SUICIDE.
We are just one of seven agencies in the country that offers:
-Depression Screening
-Counseling
-2 Support Groups a month for attempters
-2 Support Groups a month for survivors (family and friends who have lost a loved one to suicide)
-Training for Prevention
-School interaction/prevention
-On site counseling services after a loss by suicide at a school or business
-A 24-Hour Phone Hotline to call: (800-273-8255)
We are local. In Batavia, IL. Most of our workers are volunteers. We are dependent on donations in order to continue our work.

Where does your donation go??
We provide counseling on a sliding scale- if the person doesn't have money, they are not charged. YOUR DONATION helps pay for their counseling sessions to get help.
Your donations help pay the basic bills of our building to give us a place to work.
Your donations provide the paperwork to distribute for training.
Your donations pay our staff modest salaries to counsel and help people.
