Fox Valley Academy of Music Performance Announces 2013-2014
Auditions
The
Fox Valley Academy of Music Performance will hold auditions on August 24th
and 25th for its 2013-2014 season. Performing ensembles for the FVAMP
include the Youth Strings, the Academy Orchestra, and the Philharmonic
Orchestra. The two youth ensembles are comprised of student-musicians ages 8 to
18. Positions for the youth orchestras are available in all
instruments, except oboe and tuba. These orchestras rehearse in the
late afternoon on Sundays throughout the school-year. The adult Philharmonic Orchestra rehearses Sunday
evenings. The Philharmonic is accepting auditions in all strings, principal
trombone, and percussion. Highly-advanced high school and
college-aged string musicians may also audition for the Philharmonic Orchestra.
All auditions are held at the Academy's
rehearsal location, Eden Supportive Living in North Aurora. Information about the orchestras and audition requirements
