EVENT AT REP HULTGRENS OFFICE IN SUPPORT OF COMPREHENSIVE IMMIGRATION REFORM

OFA Volunteers Across the Country are Telling Congress: Do Your Job--Fix Our Broken Immigration System
Geneva, IL – This Saturday, Aug. 31, OFA-ILLINOIS volunteers and supporters in the Geneva will be holding a grassroots event to tell Rep. Randy Hultgren that it’s time for Congress to do the right thing for our country and pass comprehensive immigration reform. Organizing for Action volunteers understand that our broken immigration system constitutes a major problem, and that Congress has the keys to fix it. It's a solution that will not only address the outdated system, but also create jobs, grow our economy, strengthen our middle class, and reaffirm the American dream for this generation and generations to come. That's why OFA volunteers and a broad coalition of supporters are telling Congress to pass comprehensive immigration reform.
OFA volunteers nationwide are spending the August congressional recess organizing their communities around the issues the American people voted for in 2012, like immigration reform, affordable healthcare, combating climate change, gun violence prevention and a better bargain for the middle class, among others. OFA’s “Action August” volunteers will make it clear to their representatives in Washington that they expect them to put the American people before D.C. politics.
