"The Family Fruitcake" at The Albright Theatre in Batavia!

THERE MAY BE A FEW NUTS HERE AND THERE

The Albright Theatre Company is pleased to present “The Family Fruitcake” as the holiday show this season.  Not only is this the world premiere production of this fun, family-friendly show, but it was written by one of the Albright Theatre’s own members, Rebecca Frohling!  As a family gathers for the holidays, Mom wants to have a normal dinner, “just this once”. But with a teen-age daughter being very “teenage-y”, a younger daughter prepared (literally) for combat, a newly married-into-the family man getting lost in the backyard, and a great aunt whose wild stories get wilder by the minute, a “normal dinner” just isn’t in the cards.

"I am super excited to be directing my very first show.” says co-director Tricia Hewson, “To be involved with such an amazing cast and to be sharing this experience with my co-director, Veronica Krystal, has been such a great learning experience. The story is very universal. Everyone can understand zany family gatherings and the characters that can be found there."

"I've had so much fun working on this show and working with co-director, Tricia Hewson!”, remarks Veronica Krystal (co-director), “This show presented a slight challenge in that it has never been done before, but it also gave everyone involved a chance to be creative. It's a story to which many people can relate; those crazy family get-togethers that always stick in your memory."
