Batavia's Books Between Bites welcomes Batavia Mayor Jeff Schielke on January 16

Batavia's popular monthly
noontime book program, Books Between Bites, welcomes Batavia Mayor Jeff
Schielke for his annual visit on Thursday, January 16th for the free
monthly book discussion series held at the Batavia Public Library, 10 S.
Batavia Avenue, from noon to 1 p.m.  Each
year Mayor Schielke shares stories and historical anecdotes about our city and

this year he reveals a whole file of materials put together by the late Batavia

historian, Bill Wood, about famous folk “Batavia Celebrities, 1908–1909.”

The public is invited to attend
this free program and reservations are not required. It is held in the large
community room located on the main level of the Batavia Public Library. Parking
is available in the lot just south and adjacent to the library.


People are invited to bring their lunch and eat as they enjoy the program and
discussion.  Lunch items, beverages and
baked goods can be purchased at Chapters Coffeehouse & Café, located just
inside the library and adjacent to the meeting room. To pre-order for pick-up
just before the program, please call 630-406-8005.
