UPDATE: Dense Fog For Westbound Commuters
Visibility is less than a quarter mile in some areas, according to the National Weather Service in Chicago.
A dense fog advisory issued by the National Weather Service remains in effect for Kane County until 9 a.m. this morning.
The fog will disappear by mid morning, but until then visibility will be less than a quarter mile in many locations, especially out west towards DeKalb.
This type of freezing fog could create a light glaze-like layer on roads and make surfaces slippery, according to the National Weather Service.
