City-Wide Garage Sale

The 18th Annual Batavia City-Wide Garage Sale starts today, April 29 and continues Sat., April 30. The sales start at 8 a.m. and end at 4 p.m. each day.

Proceeds of the fees paid by willing sellers go to support Batavia's 4th of July Fireworks show.

Loyalty Day Parade 2011

The 37th Annual Loyalty Day Parade kicks off at 1:30 p.m. at Raddant Road and Wilson Street.

Grab a spot along the parade route, which continues west on Wilson and then South on Route 25 (River St.) to the Batavia VFW, 645 S. River St.

This year's parade theme is "We Support—10 Years of Operation Enduring Freedom."

Parade Street Closures

Wilson Street will be also be closed starting on the east side at Woodland Hills Road all the way downtown across the bridge to Island Avenue. 

Route 25 commuters will be sent to Route 31 during the parade, according to the Kane County Chronicle.
