Did You Forget to Turn Your Clocks Ahead? Spring Forward NOW

It's that time of year again.

You'll always hate losing the hour, but you like it when it stays light out longer, right?

Daylight Saving Time began at 2 a.m. today, so residents are encouraged to turn their clocks forward one hour now if they haven't already.

As Daylight Saving Time gets underway, the Kane County Health Department and Kane County Office of Emergency Management encourage residents to make sure their families are prepared for any and all emergencies. A few simple steps, such as checking the batteries in smoke alarms, developing a family communications plan and putting an emergency kit together can go a long way toward keeping families safe.
