Batavia Blotter: Just 2 Cannabis Tales Reported This Week

The following information was supplied by the Batavia Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

Two cannabis-related items were recorded in the Batavia Police Department blotter from April 28 to May 5, 2013.

Possession of Cannabis—Batavia police arrested Jeremy A. Almodovar, 20, of St. Charles on charges of possession more than 10 but less than 30 grams of cannabis around 2:32 a.m. May 5. Almodovar posted $160 bond and has a court date of June 11.

Possession of Drug Paraphernalia—After receiving a complaint of about people climbing a fence in the 1500 block of South Raddant Road, Batavia police located three subjects in the 1700 block of Perna Lane, according to a report filed around 8:42 p.m. May 4. The arrestee—who was unnamed in the police report—had a Newport cigarette, baggie containing a green, leafy substance and a one-hitter pipe with burnt residue, reports said.
