5 Cases of Credit Card Fraud Reported in Batavia
Police Reports: One of the payments is a $3,146 charge at Key-Mat Equipment Co.
Batavia Police Department files included five cases in which someone reported fraud from a credit-card payment.
Fraud—Someone stole a pre-loaded credit card around 6:14 p.m. April 2 in the 100 block of Webster Street, reports said.
Credit Card Fraud — Someone reported credit card fraud after being charged $39.99 for an online transaction around 12:30 p.m. April 1, reports said. The case was referred to investigations.

Credit Card Fraud—Someone used a fraudulent credit card to pay $3,146.25 at Key-Mat Equipment Co., 550 N. River St., sometime around 10:21 a.m. April 3, reports said. The report does not say what items were purchased.
Credit Card Fraud—Someone used a cancelled debit card to pay for merchandise at the Finish Line, in the 1200 block of East Wilson Street, around 5:13 p.m. April 6, reports said. The offender is unknown and the merchandise and its dollar value were not included in the report.
