Harvest Celebration at the Old Post Office will Honor Donna Dallesasse Award Winner

Scott Salvati of Lighthouse Marketing Services is the honoree at the Wednesday, Oct. 23 Batavia Chamber of Commerce event.

Batavia, Ill. –October 8, 2013– The Batavia Chamber of Commerce announced that Scott Salvati of Lighthouse Marketing Services in Batavia is the Donna Dallesasse Award honoree for 2013. He was chosen as the one member whose service exemplifies an outstanding commitment to the Chamber and its mission, vision, and values.

The public is invited to join Batavia Chamber of Commerce members from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 23 to toast Scott at the Harvest Celebration at the Old Post Office, 106 W. Wilson Street, Batavia.

The annual networking event features appetizers by event sponsor Aliano’s Ristorante in Batavia and wine and beer from Gibby’s Wine Den. Batavia Enterprises, Inc., Hagemann Wealth Management and Batavia MainStreet are event sponsors as well.

Roger Breisch, executive director of the Batavia Chamber of Commerce, pointed out that Salvati has been involved with the Chamber for at least eight years, including serving on its board of directors for six of those years.

“Scott’s creativity has had a major impression on the way the Chamber has impacted the entire community,” says Breisch. “Perhaps more than anyone else, Scott helps the Chamber polish its professional image, beginning with the creation of our current logo in 2006.

“The Chamber and its image are far better because of Scott’s creativity, dedication, and talent.”

As for Salvati, he was “surprised” when he heard the news. “I have always thought that it is important to be a part of the fabric of the community you’re in,” said Salvati. “I am a big believer that if you are going to lead, you need to lead by being involved.

“If you see something that needs to be done, you roll up your sleeves and get things accomplished.”

Besides his Chamber involvement, Salvati continues to serve as the director of communications at the First Baptist Church of Geneva. He also helps the Batavia Lacrosse Club, which he helped start and served as its head coach for five seasons. He says one of his most meaningful volunteer positions involved working with Royal Family Kids Camp, a camp dedicated to kids that have suffered from abuse.

Salvati graduated from St. Charles High School and then the University of Iowa. He and his wife Kim, who also works at Lighthouse Marketing Services, settled in Batavia shortly after they started their business in 2000. They have two children, a son Zack attending Judson University, and a son Nick attending Batavia High School.

Mark your calendars for Wednesday, Oct. 23 to meet Scott Salvati and thank him for his continued service. Attendees will also be able to renew old acquaintances and build new friendships and relationships at the Harvest Celebration.
