Final Fling Kicks Off a New Net-Working-It Season in Batavia

Batavia Chamber of Commerce Announces New Upcoming Events and a Change of Date for the Lunch & Learn

Batavia, Ill – September 11, 2013 – If area business professionals have plans for Wednesday, Sept. 18, they may want to “bag” them. Net-Working-It kicks off a new season of networking with a final fling of summer fun from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Lincoln Inn Banquets, 1345 S. Batavia Ave., Batavia.

According to Tom Wangler, president of Confident Aire and one of the event organizers, this event “has it all;” easy parking, plenty of food, beverages, games, prizes, cool cars, prospects, and the opportunity to enjoy another blast of summer fun before fall with friends, colleagues and prospects.

During the open networking event, attendees can meet new prospects by participating in a Bags tournament, while viewing “cool” vehicles in the parking lot, or by visiting the marketing tables of Batavia Chamber of Commerce members. Except for a cash bar, this event is free to attend.

Marketing tables are available only for the first eight Chamber members to contact the Chamber at 630-879-7134.To read many more details, including information about showing off your vehicle, visit the event page on the Batavia Chamber of Commerce’s website.

Also in September, the date has changed for the Lunch & Learn. Previously scheduled for Thursday, Sept. 12, the event now takes place on Thursday, Sept. 19.

Author and business consultant, Al Ritter, will lead a Lunch & Learn session where participants will take a closer look at personal mission statements at The Holmstad, 700 W. Fabyan Parkway, Batavia. “The Secret to Thriving in Life: Your Personal Mission Statement” costs $15 for both Batavia Chamber members and non-members alike, and begins at 11:30 a.m.

According to Ritter, a personal mission statement uniquely expresses you.

“It is your end, your purpose, and how you want to live your life – what your life is about,” explains Ritter. “It is a deep interconnection with your own talents and dreams; your uniqueness, your meaning – it comes from within.”

To do a reality check on where you are headed, sign up to attend on the Batavia Chamber’s website, www.bataviachamber.org/programs, or call the Chamber at 630-879-7134 by Tuesday, Sept. 17.
