Batavia Lawyer Authors Article in Illinois Bar Journal

Roman J. Seckel, an associate with Drendel & Jansons Law Group, in Batavia, is the author of “Who Pays for Unallocated College Expenses After Divorce?,” an article which appears in the January 2014 issue of the Illinois Bar Journal, the monthly magazine of the Illinois State Bar Association (ISBA).

In the article, the author explains how language in the divorce decree – and when and how you argue the petition – can determine petitioners’ success or failure, and addresses the issue of the parents’ obligation to contribute to the children’s post-secondary education.

The 32,000-member ISBA (isba.org), with offices in Springfield and Chicago, provides professional services to Illinois lawyers, and education and services to the public through a website (illinoislawyerfinder.com), consumer brochures, and distribution of legal information.
