Holly Deitchman Is Batavia Chamber's New Executive Director

The station manager of Batavia Access Television takes over as head of the Chamber on Feb. 10, replacing Roger Breisch.

Holly Deitchman of Batavia has been selected as the new executive director of the Batavia Chamber of Commerce by its board of directors.

Deitchman, presently the station manager for Batavia Access Television, will take over her new duties on Feb. 10.

According to Jack Zaruba, president of the board, the search committee was impressed with Deitchman’s forethought into goals for the Chamber of Commerce and developing a plan for transitioning into her new role.

"Holly brings a lot of experience to the position,” said Zaruba, owner of BBC Construction and Remodeling. “I see the next director taking us in a direction that wasn’t even invented 10 years ago.

“As a chamber, we need to continually evolve and innovate to better serve our members,” continued Zaruba. “Batavia already has a strong business base; we want to help it grow. We are pleased that Holly will be the person to lead us in this mission.”

Deitchman said she hopes to bring the collaborative process and the growth she experienced as the manager of BATV to the Batavia Chamber of Commerce.

"I am honored to be named the new Batavia Chamber executive director,” Deitchman stated. “I am dedicated to the Batavia community that I call home and I am so excited to lead the Chamber into 2014 and beyond.

“I look forward to working with local business men and women and community members to make the chamber one of our most treasured community resources."

Prior to her becoming BATV station manager in July 2008, Deitchman spent three years as a market analyst with Metrostudy in Elgin. In this role, she performed feasibility and or fiscal impact studies for urban retail and housing projects for financiers, developers and builders.

Zaruba summed up the feelings of many Chamber of Commerce members.

“We’ll miss Roger Breisch’s leadership, but we are pleased to have found someone more than capable of continuing to move our organization forward.”
