How did the business come to be?

We have two stores, one in St. charles, too. In 1970, Don Robbins began Robbins Flowers in St. Charles. Don commuted the first business year from Crystal Lake where his wife, Carol, was teaching elementary school. The St. Charles store has had three locations on Main Street. Each time the size of the business location increased. In 2007, the St. Charles store downsized the retail part of the store and moved to 410 South Third St,its present store location. Customers can shop at the store, call the store for a floral order or shop 24/7 online.

Why did you choose the area you did?

Don had talked with one of his wholesalers and both agreed that St. Charles was the best choice to open a flower shop. The wholesaler and Carol had different ideas for the name of the shop. However, the wholesaler, Marty, told Don to put your name on the business and what you sell. And, that decision to call the shop Robbins Flowers has been the best!

Robbins Flowers is a full service flower shop. Robbins Flowers delivers to St. Charles, Geneva, Batavia, Wasco, Wayne, North Aurora, South Elgin, Elburn and West Chicago. Robbins Flowers is a member of the professional wire service, Teleflora. Your floral order can be across town, across the country or limited international deliveries.

What’s a fact about your business that most customers probably don’t know?

Most people probably don't know that Robbins Flowers operates at holiday times efficiently and professionally. If one were to view the fresh flower coolers the morning of the holiday (Valentine's Day) and the end of the day, one would be very amazed. The creativity is endless! Robbins Flowers always encourages customers to pre-order their floral requests.

What’s your most popular product?

Robbins Flowers has daily floral deliveries (funeral work can be delivered on Sunday if need be). The most popular products are our mixed flower arrangements. Each can be created for that special occasion for the customer.
