Severe Thunderstorms Headed This Way
The National Weather Service—Chicago has a severe thunderstorm watch in place that could, potentially, include tornadoes.
There's a storm a comin'—Thursday night and there could be more Friday and Saturday.
The National Weather Service Chicago has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Watch for Kane County and the surrounding area from now until 1 a.m. Friday, May 31.
Other Illinois counties included are Cook, DuPage, Ford, Grundy, Iroquois, Kankakee, Kendall, Lake, McHenry, and Will.

Isolated tornadoes are possible.
"ALTHOUGH THE STRONGEST THUNDERSTORMS CONTINUE ACROSS NORTH CENTRAL ILLINOIS...THE THREAT FOR SEVERE WEATHER WILL QUICKLY EXPAND ACROSS NORTHEAST ILLINOIS AND NORTHWEST INDIANA THIS EVENING," theNational Weather Service-Chicago says.
Additional rounds of thunderstorms are expected Friday and Friday night. Heavy rain could continue Saturday, "possibly leading to flooding."
