Waterline Writers

Waterline Writers is the latest addition to Water Street Studios, the 16,000 sq. ft. arts center in downtown Batavia.  In a few short years, WSS has blown the creative lid off the far-western suburbs! It already includes 28 artists' studios, 3 beautiful galleries, 3-juried art shows each year, a school of art, after-school programs, monthly concerts, and the H2O gift shop. And now, demonstrating just what can happen when creative people collaborate, inspire and support each other, Water Street Studios will further its mission to support the fine arts in all forms by hosting Waterline Writers’ monthly readings!

“We host monthly readings where writers will read excerpts from their own work, including fiction (novels, short stories, creative non-fiction), poetry, plays, lyrics, spoken word, experimental work, multi-media work, storytellers and stand-up comedy” says director of development and PR, Jim Kirkhoff. “We are committed to providing a place where talented published and not-yet-published writers can share their work as well as meet and support other writers. We hope and suspect that, just as Water Street Studios drew forth scores of local artists with transcendent talents, Waterline Writers will become the meeting place and synergistic center for gifted local writers”.
