Water Street Wonderland Holiday Shopping

Water Street Wonderland offers a unique shopping alternative for those struggling to find the perfect gift for that special someone. In addition to the Main Gallery, Gallery H2O (where all pieces of original art work retail for under $200) and class offerings, Water Street Studios will bring in local artisans to promote and sell their work. Vendors will include Watershead Soaps and handcrafted wearable accessories by artist Rebecca Heidank.

The Water Street Studios School of Art will be offering family friendly art activities free of charge. These activities will give children the chance to make holiday ornaments as well as unique and handmade gifts. Due to limited supplies, these workshops will be on a first come, first serve basis.

Local photographer, Rick Scalzo, will also be taking family portraits for a $40 sitting fee. Times are available between 10a and 6p. Please schedule in advance.

At 5:30 p.m. is a very unique lecture by local writers Gerry and Janet Souter titled "The Art of Writing about Art". The Souter's will discuss combining their love of writing books with their artist backgrounds as School of the Art Institute of Chicago graduates and as exhibiting artists in oil painting, watercolor, pen and ink, sculpture and photography.
