Free Live Music Tonight at Water Street Studios

is proud to announce its latest Friday Feature performance today at 8 p.m., Friday, Nov. 4.

Admission is free and visitors are encouraged to come early, bring their own drinks and snacks and enjoy the gallery before the show. Water Street Studios is located at 160 S. Water St. in downtown Batavia.

With the recent acquisition of a professional PA system (made possible as part of a grant from the Kane County Riverboat Grant), this Friday Feature has expanded to three acts. They are:

  • Caught In Your Pockets
  • Hungry Mtn.
  • Mitch Munv.

"I'm excited because this is a diverse group of musicians," said Joi Cuartero, art director for Water Street Studios. "Caught In Your Pockets is very high energy with percussion taking a strong lead; and they are local, but have recently been playing a lot of Chicago venues like Cubby Bear and The Metro. Mitch on the other hand, will start everything off folk with fingerpicking guitar work and Hungry Mtn. is a side project of members from Torque Padroni who mixed a lot of progressive rock and jazz. This is the type of diversity that Water Street Studios is all about."

Also unique is that the performances will be utilizing the former First Street Playhouse space immediately adjacent to the main gallery and is being made available by Austin Dempsey and Batavia Enterprises, Inc.
