Water Street Studios Anniversary Fundraiser Today at 6 p.m.

Batavia Il - Kick off the official start of the Fall art scene by joining Water Street Studios in a unique fundraising event on Saturday, September 24.
A dynamic evening has been planned for all attendees that includes visual and tasty delights.  Food by Enticing Cuisine, craft beers generously donated by Lagunitas Brewing of California, wine and soft drinks, exciting sneak preview of the upcoming WSS Second Anniversary Show, and an auction of original artwork. Tickets are available for the event at $50 each or $160 for a group of four.

In addition, seven pieces of art will be the center piece of a unique auction.  Instead of auctioning off each piece, six opportunities to select a piece will be auctioned.  The winner of each slot will then be able to select one of the pieces of art (first choice going to highest bidder).  The remaining seventh piece will go to the winner of the raffle (with tickets available to purchase for $50 each).

Innovative artwork has been donated by Water Street Studios resident artists - sculptor Jim Jenkins, sculptor Alvaro Amat, ceramicist Patty Davoust, painter Gina Floro, painter Greta Bell, jeweler Katherine Kratzer, and sculptor Rita Grendze.

"While we are blessed to have such a supporting public and artistic community, the reality is that we need diverse sources of funding to help us run the operations." said Jim Kirkhoff, Director of Development.  "Such fundraiser events help us generate funds so that we better serve our community as well as have a good time."

The event will be held in Water Street’s main gallery with doors opening at 6 pm. There are a limited number of tickets available so call early to purchase at (630) 761-9977 or e-mail at info@waterstreetstudios.com
