North River Street will be closed at Wilson Street while the work is under way.

N. River Street Streetscape (Wilson St. to State St.)There are several things happening on N. River Street!

The city of Batavia says the arch at River Street is likely to be completed this week.

The city said the installation of the arch at the entrance to North River Street at Wilson Street began Thursday, and "the coming days the main structural installation will be completed"

North River Street will be closed at Wilson Street, so vehicles accessing North River Street will need to continue to use State Street during the closure.

The city says the contractor is currently working on the punch list items that couldn't be completed at the end of last year's construction season.

River Street work this week will include the concrete work, including repairs to the curbs, planter areas and installation of the base for the "Self Made Man."

Next week this will be followed up with the granite cladding for the Self Made Man base and additional punch list items.
