Art, Song and the Garden On Tap This Weekend

Oh yeah, and that little Swedish Days event too.

Hey, it’s finally Friday!

Here's our best bets for when you're done with work and ready to get out. Check out our picks:

1. GARDEN WALK
Where/When: 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday at , 700 W. Fabyan Pky., Batavia.
Why Go: The  showcases eight beautifully varied gardens. This event and the annual plant sale provide funds towards the Batavia Plain Dirt Gardeners’ commitment to maintain the Wildflower Sanctuary and other projects, including local college scholarships.
Pricing: $13 in advance, $15 day of the walk.

2. ARTIST RECEPTION AT FERMILAB

Where/When: 5 p.m.-7 p.m. TODAY, Friday, June 24 at , Kirk Rd & Pine St, Batavia.
Why Go: See "Natural Elements: Karen Brown and Roberta Polfus" up close on the second floor of Wilson Hall.
Pricing: Free

3. SWEDISH DAYS
Where/When: All weekend in , W. State St. & N. 3rd St.
Why Go: Live music, food, sales, pet parade, crafts and a parade. The big event of the year.

Pricing: Varies for food.

4. OKLAHOMA
Where/When: 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and 2 p.m. Sunday at , 105 E. Main St., St Charles.
Why Go: Rising Star Theatreworks will present the iconic Rodgers & Hammerstein .
Pricing: $12-$10.

5. ARTIST RECEPTION
Where/When: 7-9 p.m. Friday at , 1040 Dunham Rd., St Charles.
Why Go: An Artist Reception for "," a Mixed Media Collage Art show, featuring 98 original works by 29 artists.
Pricing: Free.

6. PATRIOTIC SONGFEST

Where/When: 6:30-8:30 p.m. Sunday at , 320 Franklin St., Geneva.
Why Go: An filled with singing and surprises. A delicious "potluck ice cream social" follows the event.  Bring ice cream or a topping to share.
Pricing: Free.
