The Albright Theatre Presents "Love Rides the Rails"

BATAVIA, Ill. (May 20, 2014) – The Albright Theatre is proud to present the final show of their 40th season, Morland Cary’s “Love Rides the Rails (or Will the Mail Train Run Tonight?).”

Mrs. Hopewell wants nothing more than to hold on to the Walker Valley, Pine Bush & Pacific Railroad that her dearly departed husband (God rest his saintly soul!) left to her. Enter the dastardly villain (Boooo!), Simon Darkway, who is on a mission to bring down the railroad for his own financial gain—and to steal Prudence, the daughter of Mrs. Hopewell, away from the honest and upright, Truman Pendennis. Trickery ensues as Simon and his slithering accomplice, Dirk Sneath, concoct a plan to tie up the railroad—and Truman.

This campy, over-the-top melodrama is sure to keep the house cheering and booing, as audience participation is strongly encouraged!
