Health, Wealth, Networking… and Dots: There is a Connection

Batavia Chamber of Commerce’s November events incorporate all of these.

Batavia, Ill. – November 1, 2013 – The November events for the Batavia Chamber of Commerce appear to alternate between health and networking.

The month begins with a ribbon cutting on Saturday, Nov. 2 for Hanson Family Chiropractic. Dr. Dave Hanson and his staff invite the public to come meet them at the 1 p.m. event in their office at 1928 W. Wilson St. (southeast corner of Wilson Street and Randall Road).

Also in November are a health-related Lunch & Learn and two opportunities to network. Mark your calendars and contact the Batavia Chamber of Commerce to sign up for these upcoming events:

Wednesday, Nov. 13 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.: The final Net-Working-It of 2013 gathers where it all started – at Aliano’s Ristorante, 90 N. Island Ave., Batavia. The Western DuPage Chamber of Commerce will join the Batavia Chamber for an evening of open networking. There will be a cash bar and free appetizers available. You needn’t be a member of either Chamber to attend.

Thursday, Nov. 14 from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.: “The Greatest Wealth is Health” is the topic for a Lunch & Learn at The Holmstad Town Center, 700 W. Fabyan Parkway, Batavia. Carolyn Bracken, RN, will share the many ways that VNA Health Care provides access to health care services for everyone.

VNA Health Care is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to providing compassionate, dependable and comprehensive primary care and community health services regardless of an individual’s ability to pay for the services. The cost is $15 for anyone wishing to attend. Online registration at www.bataviachamber.org/programs is available until Tuesday, Nov. 12. Alternatively, call the Chamber at (630) 879-7134.

Join other area women in business groups at this polka dot-themed networking luncheon, which takes place at the Holiday Inn & Suites, 150 S. Gary Ave., Carol Stream.
