Batavia VS the Fox Valley – Performance Clinics and Neighbors Magazine Takes the Reins on Weight Loss with Neighbors Gut Busters Competition!

Performance Clinics is teaming up with Neighbors Magazine in a weight loss challenge including Geneva, St. Charles, West Chicago, and North Aurora. The goal of the Neighbors Gut Busters Competition is not only to be the team who collectively & individually loses the most inches along the dangerous belly fat area, but also to help lead our communities in living a healthier lifestyle, learn the benefits of exercise and proper nutrition and to being more active in our daily lives!

The winning city and individual male and female who loses the most weight in the Neighbors Magazine’s Gut Busters Competition will be announced at the Pumpkins for a Cure Festival on September 29th, 2013. The festival is organized by the Zellmer Childhood Disease Foundation, an organization dedicated to supporting education and research related to the prevention, diagnosis, treatment and cure of chronic childhood diseases. The competition and winners will be recognized on Chicago’s Windy City Live TV to bring more recognition to the Fox Valley’s health push.

Under Dr. Josh Bletzinger and Coach Ryan Thilgen’s leadership through their Performance Unlimited program, members are provided a complete fitness program that is customized, coached, and guided to their goals and abilities.

Tom Wangler, owner of Batavia based business Confident Aire, Inc. member of the team says, “The biggest benefit is the accountability. I like knowing that at a scheduled time I have to be there and someone’s waiting for me. I love the personal attention I get from Ryan. I don’t feel like I’m getting a cookie cutter workout like you would with a P90x or some other fad workout. The confidence level it builds is also great for building a better lifestyle. It causes me to think better of myself and helps me make better decisions for the rest of the week.”

Along with being able to physically work out at the clinic, members are given a mobile fitness program and nutritional guidance to take home and continue their healthy lifestyle and share with their families.
