  Batavia MainStreet presents an event that fun for the whole family.\nBa
 tavia Park District\, BATV\, Batavia Chamber of Commerce\, Batavia Acade
 my of Dance\, Batavia Mother&rsquo\;s Club\, Troop 6\, and the Batavia P
 ublic Library are in partnership with Batavia MainStreet to host this ye
 ar&rsquo\;s BatFest! \nDaytime fun for the kids begins at 10 a.m. with D
 owntown Trick-or-Treating. Parents can get their treats by stopping by t
 he mini Farmer&rsquo\;s Market from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. to purchase fall 
 goodies from local vendors in the lot by the kid&rsquo\;s art tent.\nHol
 d your pumpkins! Troop 6 Boy Scouts are offering a cash prize for this y
 ear&rsquo\;s Pumpkin Roll down Houston Street. All those who would like 
 to participate can register at the Batavia Depot Museum ($1 per roll). P
 umpkins can be purchased for the competition or BYOP (Bring Your Own Pum
 pkin).\nThe Batavia Public Library will even host &ldquo\;Stories and So
 ngs&rdquo\; at 11:15 a.m. in the Reading Garden or Meeting Room. After t
 he stories\, stick around to be a part of the Batavia Mothers&rsquo\; Cl
 ub Halloween Parade at 11:45 a.m. with a police escort from Library to t
 he Riverwalk and Peg Bond Center for BatArt\, Games\, and River City Chu
 rch&rsquo\;s Photo Booth!\nThe Main Stage will feature DJ and dancing\, 
 performances by the Spirit Cheerleading Team\, Monster Mash taught by th
 e Batavia Academy of Dance and the costume contest hosted by BATV.\n&ldq
 uo\;We are so fortunate to work with so many community groups who volunt
 eer to bring this free family event to the community\,&rdquo\; said Joi 
 Cuartero\, executive director for Batavia MainStreet\, &ldquo\;The kids 
 really enjoy all the activities and it&rsquo\;s great to see all the dif
 ferent costumes!&rdquo\;\nAll ages can take a hayride with the Batavia P
 ark District in front of City Hall. All those who bring a can food or do
 nation for Batavia Interfaith Food Pantry will receive a free hayride! T
 hen check out the rides for the &ldquo\;Trunk or Treat&rdquo\; contest.\
