Weekend Late Night: Hear Some Live Music or Make Your Own

There's late night entertainment all over our area this weekend, from cover bands to karaoke bars.

 

The Fox Valley has some great musicians playing live every weekend at local bars and venues. Here are just a few events you can catch while enjoying a night out and about: 

1. The Lazy Maybes at Chord on Blues

Check out the final show for local band, The Lazy Maybes, 9:00 p.m., this Saturday, at Chord on Blues in St. Charles. Celebrate with the band's last sound check and say good bye with their high-energy vocals and gritty guitar riffs; they will surely be a missed act in the Fox Valley music scene. 

 

2. The Family Reunion Band at Villa Verone

 The Family Reunion Band will be performing live Saturday night at Villa Verone, in Geneva. Come experience an exciting night of Motown and R&B party favorites. Please click on the link above for more information on the band and to hear some samplings of their music.

 

3. Under the Willow at The RendezVu

Experience the unique folk and bluegrass influenced sound of, Under The Willow, this Friday in Batavia. Vocalist Erin Duffy's soulfully designed lyrics pair seamlessly with the heavily articulated guitar, banjo, and mandolin sounds of Pat Donovan and Tim Dunham; creating a sound that's all their own. Under The Willow takes the floor at 10 p.m., at The RendezVu.

 

4. Karaoke at Cabooses Bar & Grill

Become an instant karaoke star Saturday night at Cabooses Bar & Grill and enjoy a fun crowd, great DJ, and even better drink specials. The fun begins at 9:oo p.m., so bring a group and make it a night you'll never forget!

 

5. No Promises at Old Towne Pub

No Promises takes the stage at 10 p.m. Saturday, at Old Towne Pub, playing alternative rock originals and cover tunes. Their hard energy and roaring amps are sure to get the crowd rocking out to new and old favorites. This is a free show for ages 21 and over.
