Water Street Studios Fashion Show, Fundraiser This Saturday

On Saturday, Sept. 8, Water Street Studios will host its annual fundraiser, and this year's bash is one you won't soon forget.

The event is called ŏn-sŏm' bəl, an elegant runway show that will combine bold art, cutting edge fashion, and modern accessories.  

Showcasing the talents of 17 artists, fashion designers, and accessory designers, the runway show will highlight five different fashion capitals from around the world: Tokyo, New York, Paris, London, and the fictitious St. Gene-Via.  The evening begins at 7:00 p.m. with cocktails and hors d’oeuvres.  The runway show starts at 9:00 p.m.  Every piece created for the show will be for sale.  A large portion of the proceeds from these sales will go directly to Water Street Studios.

This fundraiser would not have been possible without the dedicated talent of the following artists and designers: for New York, Anne Scott (fashion design), Claudia Engel-Rush (accessories design), and Danielle Dobies (fine art); for London, Patty Davoust and Madeline Davoust-Jenkins (fashion design), Kathleen Shannon (accessories design), and Krista Varsbergs (fine art); for Tokyo, Sharon Sychta (fashion design), Jaime Foster (accessories design), and Jen Evans (fine art); for Paris, Sandra Leonard (fashion design), Lisa Dienst-Thomas (accessories design), and Greta Bell (fine art); and for St. Gene-Via, Andrea Reynders (fashion design), Kari Kraus (accessories design), and Michele Norman (fine art).  Additional jewelry for the Tokyo and Paris collectives are provided by Karen Hollis.

Tickets are on sale at two levels: $85 and $35 per ticket.  The $85 level includes cocktails, hors d’oeuvres, and guaranteed seating at the runway show.  An additional $100 will include 4 reserved VIP seats and one complementary bottle of chilled champagne.  The $35 level includes admission to the runway show and dessert and coffee afterward.  Quantities at this ticket level are limited.  Deadline to purchase these tickets is Thursday, September 6th at 4:00 p.m.  To purchase your tickets, please call Water Street Studios at 630.761.9977 or e-mail on-sombel@hotmail.com for more information.
