Cognac Theft

Deontae C. Nichols, 22, of the 1700 block of Wessel Court, was charged at 4:14 p.m. at Lundeen’s Liquor World, 610 E. Main St., with retail theft. Police say the store had video of Nichols taking an item, later determined to be a Remy Martin Cognac set valued at $41.99, and then leaving the store without paying.

Nichols was last seen at the St. Charles Public Library, 1 S. 6^th Ave., where police found him with the cognac in his possession. He posted $150 cash bond and paid a $50 booking fee and was released pending a Feb. 14 appearance in Kane County Branch Court.

Deceptive Practice

First and Main Inc., 278 Fairhaven Drive, reported at 2:49 p.m. the theft by fraud of 158 items, which were ordered over the phone by someone presenting themselves as an employee of a client. The items were shipped to an address in Burbank, the report stated. The total loss was estimated at $1,299.16.

Disorderly Conduct/Public Drunkenness

Mikah J. Ellis, 25, of the first block of South Jackson Street, Batavia, was cited at 1:26 a.m. in the first block of North 3^rd Street with disorderly conduct/public drunkenness.

SATURDAY, JAN. 26

Possession of Cannabis, Drug Paraphernalia

Andrew Alfonse Fecteau, 18, of the 1200 block of Ronzheimer Avenue, was charged at 2:13 a.m. in the 1900 block of Cumberland Parkway with possession of cannabis-less than 2.5 grams, and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was released after posting $150 cash bond pending a Feb. 21 court appearance.

THURSDAY, JAN. 24

Relatives Package Ripped Off

A 40-year-old resident of the 100 block of Kensington Place reported at 11:38 a.m. that someone stole a package from her mailbox between 6 and 6:30 p.m. on Jan. 10, 2013. The report did not explain why the woman delayed making the theft report. The box contained a video game and some other items, with a combined value of less than $50, that had been mailed to her by relatives.

DUI

Christopher J. Olson, 48, of the 300 block of North 1^st Street, Geneva, was charged at 11:24 p.m. in the 1500 block of East Main Street with driving under the influence of alcohol. He posted his driver’s license as well as $300 cash bond and was released pending a Feb. 21 court appearance.

WEDNESDAY, JAN. 23

Four-Letter Word Keyed on Car

An 18-year-old resident of the 900 block of Manley Road reported at 7:53 p.m. that someone had keyed the word “slut” onto the driver door of her 1998 Ford Windstar while it was parked in the fourth level of the west-side parking garage, 100 Illinois St., at about 4 p.m.

Car Windows Smashed

• Someone shattered the rear window of a Ford Escape sometime between 10 p.m. Jan. 18 and 8 a.m. Jan. 19 in the 100 block of Maple Court, reports said. Damage was estimated at more than $300.
• Someone damaged the driver-side window, rear driver-side window and window trim of a Toyota Camry parked in the lot of Power Packaging, 2089 Pilsbury Drive, sometime between 10:30 p.m. Jan 17 and 7 a.m. Jan. 18, Geneva police reports said. The car was parked at the southwest side of the parking lot. Damage was estimated at more than $300.
• Someone damaged the rear hatch window of a Chevrolet Trailblazer parked in the northbound curb lane in the 100 block of North Fourth Street sometime between 8 a.m. and 3:20 p.m. Jan. 14, reports said. The estimated cost to repair the damage is $250.
