Batavia's getting grand tonight.

The Batavia Fine Arts Centre is having a FREE open house and Red Carpet Gala from 6 p.m. to 11 p.m., 1401 W. Wilson St., Batavia. This is part of the large expansion and renovation on the west side of the Batavia High School campus, 1201 Main St., Batavia (use the Wilson Street side).

You will be able to feast your eyes on the state-of-the-art theater, courtyard and more.

This is a Black Tie Optional event, but please come as you are.

Here's the schedule:

TODAY, Saturday, Aug. 20

• 6 p.m.: Centre doors open 
• 6:15 p.m.: Tours Begin, hors d'oeuvres are served
• 8 p.m.: Silent auction closes
• 8:30 p.m.: Ceremony begins (includes musical and theatrical performances, 50/50 raffle)
• 9:30 p.m. Dancing, dessert is served
• 11 pm.: Centre doors close, event ends

Anyone can purchase bricks or auditorium seat engravings at different prices levels. Proceeds from the purchase will go towards the Fine Arts Centre, and for theater- and music-related needs.
