Reader's Choice 2012: What's Your Favorite Festival in the Tri-Cities?

Geneva, Batavia and St. Charles are known for their great festivals. Now you can vote for your favorite in our Readers’ Choice 2012 Award contest!

If there's one thing people in the Tri-Cities know how to do, it's throw a party.

And when we say party, we're talking the major-league variety, where we invite everyone in our community and from any corner of the globe to stop on by and see us. We're talking festivals—and we've got some great ones in Geneva, Batavia and St. Charles.

Whether it's Scarecrow Fest or the Windmill City Festival or the granddaddy of them all, ya sure, Swedish Days in Geneva, we can pretty much guanantee a good time for one and all.

The hard part, though, is choosing a favorite.

Which is the No. 1, must-see festival in the Tri-Cities? Does it come around Christmastime? Is it a spring or fall favorite? Is it music that makes it special, or games and carvinal rides, shopping, food or a good beer garden?

Inquiring minds want to know.

Nominations were accepted on Geneva, Batavia and St. Charles Patch through July 9.

Winners in all Readers' Choice categories will be announced on Aug. 24.

The poll will open to accept votes from registered Patch users starting on July 23 and close at 11:59 p.m. on Aug. 17.
