Gas Guide: $3.74 at Batavia Sam's Club Is Best Price This Week

Gasoline prices remained stable this week, with the national average price increasing only marginally but down 3.3 cents a gallon from a month ago.
The Sam’s Club at Randall Road and Fabyan Parkway in Batavia and the Costco on Randall Road near Oak Street in St. Charles had the cheapest gas prices in the Tri-Cities on Wednesday night, according to Illinois Gas Prices.
AAA’s Daily Fuel Gauge Report showed that nationally, the average price for a gallon of regular gasoline on late Wednesday was $3.697 a gallon, up slightly from $3.692 a day earlier, but down from $3.706 a week ago. The national average of a gallon of regular gas a month ago was $3.730, but was $3.846 a year ago. The highest recorded average price for a gallon of regular gasoline was $4.114 on July 17, 2008.

I bought groceries at Jewel Sunday night then proceeded to the Shell station on Main St. and got gas for $3.59 a gallon by using my Jewel card. The price on sign was $3.89 a gallon. I hope that this continues because I just read Jewel had been bought out by another company.
