Bulldog Booster Corn Boil Kicks Off Batavia Fall Sports

The Batavia Bulldog Boosters held their annual corn boil on Friday.

About 2,000 Batavia residents gathered at the Bulldog Stadium to enjoy the corn boil.

The weather was pleasant, unlike last year.  "It’s hot, but it could be rainy," said Booster Club President Marcy Stone.

There was entertainment by the high school marching band, cheerleaders and dance team. The football and volleyball teams had practices, so fans could get a preview of the Bulldogs at work.

The Booster Club sold spirit items in addition to the food.  This is the Club's second biggest fundraiser.

“Our biggest (fundraiser) is the dinner dance that we do in April,” Stone said.
