FINAL: Batavia Shuts Out Streamwood 33-0
The Bulldogs blank their first team this season and improve to a 4-0 record Friday during their Homecoming game.
Batavia finally got the shutout it was looking for this year.
The Bulldogs kept the Sabres scoreless all night on Friday to close a 33-0 Homecoming victory. It was another big game in front of a cheerful crowd at Batavia High School.
Five was once again the magic number of touchdowns for Batavia. They set the pace in the first quarter with a touchdown run from senior offensive tackle Adam Hunger.
Then the well-practiced teamwork of junior quarterback Micah Coffey and senior wide receiver Zach Strittmatter chimed in with a touchdown to close out the first quarter. Coffey also ran in a TD before halftime to put the Bulldogs at 21-0.
Coffey connected with Strittmatter again for a touchdown in the third quarter, and junior running back Anthony Thielk set the stage for classmate Kevin Green's short touchdown run.
Who's Next?
The Bulldogs head to Lake Park on Friday, Sept. 21. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. at the Lake Park West Campus, 500 W. Bryn Mawr Ave. in Roselle. See you there!
