Art In Your Eye Preview: Festival Setup

Preparations were underway Friday for the 2011 Art In Your Eye Fine Art Show & Festival this weekend at the Riverwalk in downtown Batavia.

The seventh annual Art In Your Eye festival will take place rain or shine today, Saturday, August 13 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday, August 14 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. 

This outdoor event will feature more than 75 artists.

“The whole thing is going to be phenomenal,” Show Director Erin Melloy said on Friday.

There will be a juried exhibit featuring the work of local artists and artwork from area high school and college students on display in the .

There will also be children’s art activities, art demonstrations from artists, musical entertainment sponsored by and poetry and book readings from area poets and authors on the Art In Your Ear Stage at the Peg Bond Center.

The  is the host of an art exhibit by  art students. And will continue to be featured throughout downtown Batavia.

“We’re hoping for at least 10,000 patrons,” Melloy said.
